A day in the life...

At a certain point in every course, a bunch of students muster the courage to gang up on me and ask if I really practice all of this stuff!  "And if you do", they ask -- "what does it look like?"  "And -- where do you find the time???"  The questions have become so common that I decided to record my general answer, and make it available here.  I'll probably have to update this clip every 6 months, however, because Ayurvedic daily routine is always self-adjusting...

In this streaming clip (about 40 minutes), you'll hear about the daily patterns of someone who's been practicing Ayurveda (very imperfectly) over the last number of years: I'll speak about my constitution and its demands, the daily priorities of self-care that keep me from being a misery-guts, and help me to be of occasional use to others, my ideal hours for work, sleep, and family life, the herbs that work for me, impulses and blindspots I have to be careful of, my seasonal cleansing regimes, etc....

I hope it demystifies the whole thing a bit -- that underneath the Sanskrit terminology and the Vedic worldview there is a simple flow of gentle intuition that this gorgeous artform, over time and with patience, helps you release from within.
