Mixed Levels + Meditation

 

 
This class begins with a focus on fundamental asanas that prepare the body for comfortable meditation.  The last 30 minutes are assigned for silent meditation, preceded by 10 minutes of instruction in a particular technique.  A variety of techniques will be taught from the Buddhist, Hindu, Vedantic, and Christian traditions.  Proper preparation for meditation will be given (breath control, affirmation, setting of intention), as well as help through the obstacles of meditation, such as racing thoughts and lethargy.  These instructions are fundamental to establishing a regular home practice.

  • Thursdays: 7:15 to 8:45pm
