Renaissance Yoga and Ayurveda turns the deepest
wisdom of human culture into the nourishment of
daily life. Through postural refinement, breath
liberation, meditation, and the promotion of
self-awareness through ancient integral medicine, our goal is to help you
rediscover and nurture the innate joy of being
alive.

With a beautifully appointed, intimate studio
for Asana classes and a dedicated therapy room
for Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic consultation ,
owners
Dennison Smith and Matthew Remski offer a
broad range of time-proven tools from the
classical Yogic traditions for optimal living
every day. These tools include drop-in Asana
instruction, private postural guidance,
constitutional balancing, dietary guidance,
herbal remedies, contemplative homework,
meditation instruction and spiritual counseling.
Drawing on over 30 years of training and more
than 4000 classroom hours of teaching experience
in the creative, movement, and meditational
arts, we wish to help our students evolve in
harmony with their highest aspirations. We’ve
named our studio after a recurrent cycle in
Western history that looks to ancient wisdom,
natural wonder, rationalism, and cross-cultural,
interdisciplinary education to sweeten and
liberate the heart and mind.
The Big Picture
To glimpse the natural radiance of your life in
a moment of deep peace is to remember your
connection to the universe. To remember this
unity is to be driven to find it again. To
accomplish and stabilize this unity – this Yoga
– for oneself while sharing it with others is
the heart of every sublime tradition known to
the human family.
Yoga distinguishes itself amongst these
traditions by not being dogmatic It is
simply a catalogue of inclusive,
non-denominational, practical techniques
developed to nurture the evolution of
consciousness as it naturally heads back to joy.
It addresses and refines all aspects of your
life: the body, ethics, duty, the mind, the
emotions, relationships, and the environment.
It holds a mirror up to your experience and
allows you to calmly and guiltlessly measure
what you see against what is possible.
While good teachers are invaluable along this
path, Yoga and Ayurveda both emphasize the
finding, appreciation, and nourishment of the
inner teacher – that principle within you that
naturally yearns for union, and draws
consciousness inexorably towards clarity. It is
to this inner teacher that Renaissance Yoga and
Ayurveda dedicates its efforts.
